        服装面料在使用过程中,由于外力作用,如揉、搓等而发生塑性弯曲变形,从而形成不规则的皱纹,称为折皱。使服装面料不产生折皱的性能称为抗皱性。有时,抗皱性也可理解为当外力去除后,由于服装面料的急、缓性变形而使面料逐渐恢复到初始状态的能力。所以,服装面料的抗皱性也可以称为折皱回复性。
  常用折皱回复角度作为面料抗皱性能优劣的依据。用水平法测定折皱回复角。实验结果表明0°、30°、60°规律不是很明显,但多数面料在45°斜向上抗皱性较好,90°方向,即横料,最易皱,抗皱性不好。
